Patricia Nelson began as a jewelry designer while she was expecting her first child. Working as a patient consultant at a doctor’s office, a bracelet worn by an associate caught her attention. She remembers, “studying the bracelet as if a an angel had whispered in my ear...you can make this!” 
Within that week she found a bead supply store that offered classes on jewelry making. She learned how to start and end a basic bracelet was immediately hooked on the entire process of jewelry design. “I knew that creating jewelry would become a labor of love.” Her unique designs comes an expression of her own aesthetic sensibilities which she feels are rooted in everyone.
This went into overdrive for her as she began to eat and sleep jewelry designs and working with beautiful gemstones, metals. She was drawn to glass pieces and silverwork. All of Patricia’s pieces are custom and one-of-a -kind which is why they are aptly called “Nelson’s Treasures.”
She began to sell to friends inside and outside of work and within the year after her son’s birth, she had people offering to host jewelry parties. These have turned out to be especially fun and rewarding for everyone attending.
Patricia is the owner and jewelry designer for Nelson Treasures. Born and raised in Southern California, Patricia has turned to several arenas for inspirations, such as art history, classic memorabilia, and the art of fusing glass. Each piece of jewelry in the Nelson Treasures collection is personally handcrafted.
